Organizing inclusive events
Organising an inclusive event
Learning through play to create accessible experiences for everyone
Organising an event is much more than planning dates, location and activities: it means imagining an experience that welcomes and values every person, without excluding anyone. But how can we train ourselves to truly think inclusively?
By organising an inclusive event, a special appointment of Accessibility for Future 2025, this challenge becomes a game.
An innovative format: role-playing as a training ground for inclusion
The event, promoted by IO CI VADO aps with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and in collaboration with game psychologist Dr. Alan Mattiassi, offers an original and engaging training experience.
Through the use of gamification techniques, participants will be divided into teams and called upon to engage in a role-playing game: the organisation of an inclusive event. Each group will have to face choices, unforeseen circumstances, and concrete decisions, dealing with the needs of a diverse audience..
The aim is not just to win the challenge, but above all to learn, experiment, and reflect on how important it is to consider the needs of all people when organising a public initiative.
Who it is aimed at
The meeting is particularly dedicated to associations and anyone, whether for passion or profession, involved in organising events. At the same time, it is open to those who simply wish to experience something different and stimulating, discovering firsthand how to think in an inclusive way.
